SWITCH was founded in 2009 by four friends:

PHELPS HARMON  has produced two award-winning narrative features, The Sinking of Santa Isabel and Coyote Funeral, and shot a documentary starring Henry Rollins, H for Hunger. Phelps is an experienced director of photography who has helmed professional crews in Asia and America.

SHERNG-LEE HUANG has produced online series for the biggest names in new media, including Talking Points Memo and Next New Networks; shot documentaries in Bangladesh, Kenya, and Mexico; and directed viral videos with his comedy group Quiet Library, garnering over 30 million online views, a development deal with ABC, and a Broadband Emmy nomination.

RAY MACHUCA heads SWITCH operations in Austin, where he is also Head of Video Production for Flocasts, a sports media company with clients including Adidas, New Balance, and Saucony.  A veteran of the advertising industry, Ray has shot national commercials for Toyota and Hyundai.

THOMAS PEYTON has worked as a producer, shooter, and sound designer for programs ranging from 60 Minutes to Bridezillas. He has spent the last two years producing The Undocumented, a feature documentary for PBS’s Independent Lens that tells the stories of migrants who died along the US-Mexico border.
