TIMBERBRIT, “WORST FANTASY” (3 min 44 sec)
“Timberbrit” is an avant-garde “slow motion opera” that imagines the fantastic demise of Britney Spears and her deathbed reconciliation with her true love, Justin Timberlake. Composer Jacob Cooper asked us to create a music video for the opera’s opening aria. Cooper’s music deconstructs themes and elements from Spears’ records; the video takes a similar approach to her music videos. The opera and the music video were featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” SWITCH will create multimedia installations for the opera’s premiere run at NYC’s Ontological-Hysteric Theater (November 2010).
